Florian Knaus has been driving innovation in research and nature conservation as the Coordinator for the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Entlebuch since 2008. In this role, he has initiated and managed a wide range of conservation projects, from concept development to securing funding and engaging stakeholders. Florian is dedicated to fostering collaboration between science, policy, and local communities, ensuring the strategic development of research and conservation within the region. Representing the Biosphere Reserve in national and international panels, including Park Research Switzerland and Europarc, Florian is a recognized leader in sustainable ecosystem management.
In addition to his work in the Biosphere Reserve, Florian is a Senior Lecturer at ETHZurich, where he educates future environmental scientists and contributes to cutting-edge research.
